Peacock Cafe & Cuisine

October 29th, 2009

lI’m Indian. I grew up on mom’s cooking Indian food every day. I am a self proclaimed expert and a full blown Indian food snob. I rarely like eating at Indian restaurants because the food is never up to par. Places like Pakwan and Shalimar come close but nothing beats home cooked food.

I felt very strongly about this until we went out to dinner for my dad’s birthday late September. Peacock Cafe is hands down the best Indian food in the Bay Area. If you or anyone  you know wants Indian food, this place is worth the drive to Fremont (I went to the Fremont one), Santa Clara or San Jose from anywhere in the Bay.

We ordered Veg Dum Biryani, Chicken 65, Goat Curry, Chana Masala, Rice and about 5 Naans. There was not one bit of leftovers. Everything from the green chutney was freakin’ delicious.

They even have online ordering. Don’t worry all you Chicken Tikka Masala fans, they have that too. Seriously, try something new.

Here are their three locations:

2798 El Camino Real,
Santa Clara, CA 95051
Phone:(408) 247-9264

2760 Aborn Road,
San Jose, CA 95121
Phone:(408) 528-9422

39447 Fremont Blvd,
Fremont, CA 94538
Phone : (510) 226 6320
